For the past 6 weeks, we have been feeding Miley AvoDerm® Natural Revolving Menu dog food.
The key benefit of feeding your dog a revolving menu where you rotate their protein source is that it helps pet parents avoid food sensitivities.

Miley first started out with the Duck Recipe, then we rotated her to the Trout and finally the last two weeks she has been enjoying the Lamb. As we stated in our previous post, Miley isn't a big eater. Well, that has all changed since switching her over to this food. She can't get to her bowl fast enough in the morning and is usually waiting by her bowl for her evening portion.

Switching between these three proteins for Miley has been a breeze. She loves all the different proteins and I love that meat protein is the FIRST ingredient and there are no white potatoes or fillers. I am happy to report that he Grain/Gluten free and limited ingredient formulas have been gentle on her stomach.

AvoDerm Natural is made in the USA specifically in California and created using California avocados and YES avocados (except for the pit and skin) are SAFE for DOGS!

Avocados are a nutrient booster that helps pets absorb more of the nutrients they need. They are rich in heart healthy fats and omega 3&6 fatty acids which helps keep pet's skin and coat healthy and shiny from the inside out.

I definitely have noticed a difference in Miley's coat. With the cold weather settling in, she always tends to get dry, flaky skin that you can see when brushing her coat. So far, I have yet to see any flakes coming off Miley during her grooming and as you can see below, her coat shines beautifully...

  4. That's interesting as everything I've ever read has said avocados are toxic to dogs due to containing Persin. Certainly the pit is a problem but I would hope people would realize that without needing to be told.

My dogs would love to eat some avocado!

  8. I'm glad there is science to back up a rotating diet. My dogs do it because they get bored with one type of protein after awhile.
