These are my favorite treats to make for the Goldens, they are so easy and quick, no baking required and all you need are just a few ingredients.
Homemade Valentine Dog Treats
Ingredients: 1 cup strawberries, 1 banana, 1/2 cup plain greek yogurtInstructions: Blend ingredients in a blender
Pour into a silicone heart mold pan and place in freezer until frozen.
I love how versatile this recipe is, you can use any dog-friendly fruit you have on hand.
Strawberries are a great source of fiber and antioxidants, bananas contain potassium and the plain greek yogurt is good for your dog's digestion, if they can handle a little bit of dairy.
These little hearts are like a super nutrient-packed smoothie, perfect for your furry Valentine!
To bump up the nutrition even more, you could also add some coconut oil.
As with all treats, everything in moderation. Too much of a good thing could upset your dog's belly and no one wants a belly-aching Valentine! ;)
Do you plan on making any treats for your furry Valentine?
Those are treats that we can share with our humans! Yummers ☺
ReplyDeleteThose are super cute!
ReplyDeleteWow...such an easy and beautiful treat!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Are you sure these are just for the dogs? Edie would go crazy over the bananas, but I think I may have a little taste as well! Great Valentine's treat recipe.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious! I want one! :-) Love the pics and the easy-to-make recipe. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYum! These treats are the things I love: simple, healthy, and fun! Thanks for posting. We made a birthday cake for Yoda but I think these treats may need to happen for the pups sometime soon as well! I might add some blueberry (not blended) after the treats are poured in the mold, just to be crazy!
ReplyDeleteI really love these treats! Super easy and healthy. Looks like your dogs love them too.
ReplyDeleteForget the dogs, I'm making them for myself!!
ReplyDeleteI love them and have not thought about Valentines LOL but I think it is time I do
ReplyDeleteThese are a great idea. I like that they are nutritious and simple. One of my cats loves cantaloupe, so I might have to try a mini batch to see how they go over.
ReplyDeleteThese treats sound perfect! People can have them. Pets can have them. Sounds like a great family night. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, and I bet they are SO tasty as well as being really (dare I say it...) HEALTHY!!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has a pup who like mine doesn't do dairy well ... we tried this with coconut milk and it worked really well! I love the old and making them heart shaped so cute! Wonder if I can find them ... smarties size!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I never even thought of coconut milk, brilliant! They have tiny heart molds at Walmart!
DeleteThese are perfect for the holiday! And I might sneak some too.
ReplyDeleteThese looks SO fantastic, I'm going to try them! They're perfect for Valentines Day for the dogs and perhaps for us too. We all love the taste of strawberry & banana! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe.
ReplyDeleteLove & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv them
I saw this post on pintrest. Cute hearts, though my dog won't touch anything fruit-like. (He's very picky) but I love the idea of Valentines Dog treats - wish I had thought of it! Maybe I'll fill one of those heart shaped (former) chocolate boxes with some dog treats.
ReplyDeleteWe make a version of these quite regularly, so yummy! Yours are just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely making these for the loves of my life! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo yummy! I just love the beautiful photos of your furbabies with the treats! Thanks for sharing! Pinning to share!
ReplyDeleteOMgoodness that looks easy and good. I am not the world's greatest cook, I admit, but I am thinking since no oven is involved, I can do this.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make some of these for myself
ReplyDeleteWe make these with kefir. Fabulous recipe
ReplyDeleteI think I'm gonna make these for me - they look delicious. Maybe I'll share with the neighbours dog, or maybe not. PS. Love your photos, what a beautiful fur-family.
