Banana Oat Squirrels

Mom loves making us homemade treats but as I have discussed before, our cookie jar is empty more than it is full.

For today's "In the Kitchen with Miley", we are sharing a recipe for Banana Oat Squirrels.

Banana Oat Squirrels

1 1/2 cups brown rice flour
1 1/2 cups oat flour
1 tbl. flaxseed meal
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup oat bran
1 egg
2 small mashed bananas
1/2 cup water

  1. Mix wet ingredients, add dry ingredients to form dough.
  2. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut out with squirrel shaped cookie cutter.
  4. Bake in 250 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Makes: 18 (3inch) Squirrels

  8. SQUIRRELS!!! Those are so COOL! I'm too lazy to make dog cookies, but my dogs don't mind. :) They get some great treats. Although they'd probably flip if they were shaped like SQUIRRELS.
